1.  In as much detail as possible record the steps it took to create this project in photoshop. Use complete sentences.

1: I selected the rectangle tool and created one large white rectangle for the base of the body, two long white and skinny ones for the arms and another big white one for the head

2: I clicked the selection tool and clicked one of the rectangles that are going to be used for the arms, then I clicked and dragged the blue circle in the bottom corner of the rectangle. This rounded the edges and created the shape I needed to create the arms of my robot.

3: Then I clicked the direct selection tool and highlighted two corners of the rectangle I was going to use for the head. Then I clicked and dragged the blue circle on the two corners of the rectangle that I highlighted. This rounded only the two corners I selected. Then I highlighted the other two corners and slightly dragged the blue circle in. Doing this created the shape I needed for the head. I then copied and pasted the shape, dilated it to a smaller size, And changed the color to black to make the screen/face of the robot.

4: Using the direction tool still, I clicked on the rectangle I used for the base of the body and highlighted the bottom to corners, I then clicked and dragged in the blue circle on the bottom of the rectangle to round the bottom corners. I then selected this tiny box in the top right corner of the rectangle and dragged the corner out. This extended the with op the top of the rectangle. I then did the same thing to the other corner of the rectangle.

5: After creating the shapes I needed to put the robot together, I used the selection tool to move the shapes into the position i needed to create the robot.

6: I then clicked the ellipse tool and created two tiny circles for the eyes of the robot. I then changed the color to blue and placed them on the robot's face. I then clicked the line tool and created little dark blue lines inside of each of the eyes to give the eyes a holographic effect.

7:  I clicked the shapes I used to make the body use the gradient tool to create shadows and highlights to the robot to give it more dimension.

8: Then I clicked each shape with the selection tool, clicked fx on the properties panel and added a drop shadow to make it the robot look more realistic.

2. What are vector graphics? How do they differ from raster graphics? Give an example for how you would use each type of graphic?

Vector graphics are made up of paths which each require a mathematical formula and Raster graphics are made up of tiny little pixels. Since each pixel can be a different color, Raster graphics is the best option when creating detailed art work. However vector graphics are best for creating logos, illustrations and print layouts.

3. In addition to Raster Vs Vector graphics, what are at least 3 major similarities between and difference between Adobe photoshop and Illustrator?

Photoshop uses raster graphics and Illustrator uses vector graphics. Vector images are more scalable than raster images. Vector graphics use mathematical formulas to place he colors and shapes while Raster graphs know the color of each pixel.

4. Based on the learning target, "Interpret and explain terminology and practices specific to the graphic design sector by illustrating a Robot using 5 essential Ai skills such as creating art boards, drawing shapes, combining shapes, changing colors and using the pen tool " what level of mastery does your project demonstrate (Exceeds, Meets, Needs Work, minimal understanding). Why do you think so? Make sure to provide specific evidence.

I believe that my project exceeds the expectations because I used all five Ai skills and went beyond by using gradients and effects to give my artwork some definition.
